I AM poem

Another I AM poem:

I am Selfless, and over caring
I wonder often if I'm setting myself up in a trap
I hear the pounding of my heart
I see myself often fall apart
I want to feel achieved
I am Selfless, and over caring

I pretend to walk towards a planted goal
I feel unready for what is to come
I touch my palms
I worry that I'll rise and then immediately fall
I cry at the thought of change
I am Selfless, and over caring

I understand What it is I need to do; to take myself where I need to be
I say "I'll fail" when really I do otherwise
I dream big dreams and have the desire to make them true
I try my hardest every day
I hope I gain wisdom, when I look back to what my life had to offer me
I am Selfless, and over caring
